The three lines on this tāonga (cultural treasure) represent the three kete (baskets) of knowledge, commonly called te kete tuauri, te kete tuatea and te kete aronui: the Kit of sacred knowledge, the Kit of ancestral knowledge and the Kit of life’s knowledge.
